The Nuraghic Project 2
We would like to give continuity to the Project, which took place last year and received positive feedback. By doing so we need to take into consideration the problems related to the Covid 19 Pandemic which forced us to reshape the original project. For this reason we felt it was necessary to propose a second edition of “Nuragicamente”. In particular, this year we would like to promote knowledge of the Neolithic and Nuragic civilization through a series of events that are able to bring history and archeology closer to people, in a simple and informal way, using different communication and sensorial channels. The meetings planned will evoke emotions and will allow the user to experience them in different ways. For this purpose we will use sounds, costumes, flavours of a past that is still present that must only be known, understood and duly valued. The project will be enriched by an event of great appeal and impact, included in the “Nuragicamente a Cagliari” event of Amici di Sardegna, in the park of Monte Claro in Cagliari where over the course of three days the Neolithic and Nuragic civilization will be presented to the public. The context forsee a great emotional involvement, enriched by highly evocative lights, sounds, colors and flavours. All the initiatives and activities will take into account the regulatory situation created with the Pandemic and therefore the activities will be carried out according to the health situations that will arise. That is, both with the physical and direct participation of the public or through multimedia channels (Webinar, Streaming, meeting) in synchronous or asynchronous mode.
Needs to be addressed in the project
We expect to fill the existing gaps in the knowledge of pre-nuragic and nuragic civilization. We also would like to show and transmit the techniques that were at the basis of the creation of Neolithic and Nuragic artifacts such as obsidian arrows and spears, bronzes, launeddas and clothing, etc. and to show the various stages and techniques of production. Finally, we hope to generate interest and maintain a network of social relations based on a sense of empathy for the archaeological landscape and specifically the landscape of Sardinia in a broad sense.
Goals to be achieved
We want to contribute to generating and / or consolidating in the Sardinian population the awareness of the importance that the island has had over the centuries. We also want to involve a more extended audience, Sardinian and non-Sardinian, with the aim of spreading knowledge and interest on the ancient Neolithic and Nuragic civilizations and, more generally, promoting the knowledge and enhancement of the archaeological, monumental and landscape heritage of Sardinia. A great goal would be bringing students, families and tourists closer to the history of the pre-nuragic and nuragic civilization with the aim of arousing in visitors a lively interest in these issues that will be nurtured and satisfied thanks to the events and routes proposed and planned in the project. Finally, we want to alive the feeling of identity and proximity to its history, the archaeological heritage and cultural heritage of Sardinia, through informal activities included in the project.
Given the good results achieved last year, it is believed to exceed the numbers obtained for the previous edition. We are also confident of obtaining the following results:
– Educating to knowledge and consolidating relationships between people, stories and places;
– Increasing the knowledge of the history of Sardinia;
– Creating moments of confrontation and intergenerational exchange of knowledge that favours the launch of socio-economic cultural initiatives in marginal areas;
– Increasing the sense of identity and belonging of the Sardinian people;
– Developing civic sense and respect for the archaeological heritage and its correct enhancement;
– Supporting the growth of the cultural tourism economy with the enhancement of the attractiveness of the territories thanks to the innovative strategies for the use of the events that the project will present.
